I love you Mom.

Happy Birthday. You're the best. You are my template for how I live my life, and how I treat my own son. Your patience and caring is legend to so many friends but as your kid I've always seen it as Sue and Kay and Dad all know, we all know - it's always there and is such a comfort to us.
Trying to think back on one or two pivotal moments that characterize you is really hard. I think if it's anything for me, it's that you made life so pleasing and 'easy' to handle. Our little trials were small in comparison to our friends largely because of the attitude we developed by watching you and emulating how you lived. You've been so true and fair to us (and others) our whole lives. Peter loves you dearly as you know and the bit of you that's in him serves him well as I watch him go through his life. He shares that same joy for living that you showed us and cultivated in all of us. Thank you for that Mom. Janet, Peter, and I love you so much.

Steve
